Nano 2014: Day 22

As I posted  this morning in my post Nano 2014: Excerpt 3, I woke up a bit late today and my computer didn't get off to such a good start. Those weren't the only delays and hindrances that I ran into today, but sometimes there are things beyond our control that get in the way of our novels.

I did the math today, and I realized that it is possible (though highly unlikely) for me to meet my goal for NaNoWriMo. The problem is, that would require me to write in the final week the same amount that I've written in the past three weeks combined. So possible but improbable.

How far is everyone from your goals at this point? If you've already reached your goal--congrats, of course--are you aiming to reach some specific extra-goal or do you just want to finish your novel before the calendars all flip to the next page?

Today was a good day in as far as the fact that I got immersed in the writing that I did get done. And I was able to check out some other blogs and stuff, too. I didn't have too much time for that, but it was nice to do a little bit of blog reading today between the writing.

I can't believe that Nano is almost over already. I feel like I've just gotten into the swing of everything and it's all coming to a close. But I know that I'll be celebrating no matter what my novel looks like on December 1st. That and I've committed to (at least trying to) revise my novel and have it finished by the end of January. That would be a pretty tall order even if I didn't have other writing projects that will be requiring time from me. I don't know how this particular challenge will work out. Still, I encourage any Wrimo daring enough to join in!
